We're bad email checkers...

Sorry to those who have written us emails.  I just thought to check it today and found some from a few months ago.  And I feel bad that we don't check it more often, but hopefully we will start doing that.  Anyway, here's a mix that somebody made and wanted us to put up.  Sorry it's so late.

90'S DANCE MUSIC

My friend and colleague Nelson Ball has already covered the essential 90's alt rock classics. I decided to take a different road. When I was growing up, I would always go to my sisters dance recitals. There I would hear a wide array of 90's dance jams and kids of all ages, is sparkely suits, and too much hair spray doing tap and jazz routines to these songs. Between witnessing these first had, watching countless hilarious home videos of said event, and cruising the streets of Naples, Florida in the back seat Jack's Hyundai Tiberon, blaring Ace of Base, these songs have stayed with me, and have become one of the staples of my youth. I bring you 15 tracks of insanely catchy, and just as cheesy, dance music. Lace up those LA Lights, Put down that Skip it, take apart that MegaZord, and hit the dance floor.

Another one?!

OK, it's like 5:45 AM right now, but I had a good idea for an easy mixtape and I'm awake so decided to go for it.
The theme is "Days of the Week", and I just chose a song for each day with the name of the day in the title.
In some cases there were a few options for that given day, but I decided to go for bands that I haven't already used in previous mixes and that maybe you haven't heard of.
It's a pretty quick listen, but it's fun!

Awesome. Totally Awesome.

I am a HUGE fan of 90's Alternative Rock stuff so I decided to make a mixtape of some of my favorite jams.  I included a bunch of things that I think everybody should know, even if they're more obscure; a bunch of recognizable hits and then some that you might only know if you were a real MTV and radio junkie like I was in the 90's.  It was definitely a difficult task for me because the original list was way too long and I had to delete a ton off of it in order for it to fit on a cassette and decided to leave off the stuff that was more than just plain ol' rock.
Anyway, get out your favorite 90's band t-shirt and play a game of POGs while you listen.
I hope you enjoy it.

Geeeeeeez

Sorry it took forever to get something new up... I've been meaning to make this mixtape for a while and I finally felt ambitious enough to do it last night, so here it is!
These are just a few songs that have to do with rain, at least a little bit, and remind me of those rainy days when you get stuck inside and are terribly bored. Next time you find yourself in that spot, pop in this mixtape and stop stressing for a bit.

I hope everybody's doing well out there.

We're not dead...

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that we haven't given up on this blog. We will be putting new mixes up shortly. I know that I have been busy myself with the start of this semester and I'm sure that Clarke has had some stuff to take care of as well. In the mean time, here is a semi-old little thing I made up for all of you mixtape n00bs out there:

Hopefully this will be somewhat interesting and it will help tide you over for a few more days. At least you'll be able to sleep at night now.

Take care.
